NEWSLETTER FOR FEBUARY
FEBUARY MEETING AT WITHLACOOCHE FESTIVAL GROUNDS

This months meeting is in conjunction with the Good Sams Winter 2010 Samboree.  The early Birds arrived 16th and the Beck coach
was the first arrival from our chapter.  Yes, we too were surprised, but by the end of day, we had six coaches.  Wednesday morning the
rest of our gang arrived giving us a final total of 13member coaches and 2 visitor coaches.  All of the ladies attending this month had a
meeting at the end of last months campout and finalized a list of who was going to furnish the different type of food each evening
during this week.  I want to tell everyone that missed out on attending this campout, you missed a bunch of good meals and snacks not
to mention the “Happy Hours” (I refuse to mention names) you would have thought they had their own “Happy Hour” going.  Ha!  Ha!
Thursday afternoon, we all gathered in front of some of the coaches for snacks, gossip and you guessed it “Happy Hour” Even though it
was cold; somehow, we all had a lot of fun.  The barn was too cold and like a wind tunnel, so most of the games in our chapter were
inside different coaches.  We all missed the members not present and prayed for the healing and quick recovery of those sick and
otherwise unable to attend.

In the competitions of the various games 17th Bob Stewart Won “Second Place” playing Wizard.  18th Paul Beck Won “First Place” Place
playing Pinochle.  Joe & Debbie won “First Place” in the Bean Bag Toss game.  During the “Bingo” games, the winner to the best
information could I get was, about three of our members won.  Even though it was not competition, it was nice to hear that Lake Eola
Chapter had won a few times.

Again, Lake Eola raffled off a container of food.  Bill Catron bought a child’s “Red Wagon” then all sides were extended up about one
foot to accommodate all of the food, which had been donated.  Several people came forward to help sell tickets for the drawing.  Nancy
Harper was the chairperson for the team in setting it up, wrapped with “clear plastic wrap” Chris Catron and Joan Cotter went up to the
barn every morning to sell the raffle tickets Thanks a lot Ladies.  Total ticket sales came to $512.00 before reimbursing Bill Catron for the
price of the wagon.

During the checking-in process each camper were issued a number.  Then during the Samboree numbers were drawn, then posted on
the “Gift Board.”  Lake Eola Chapter is proud to announce Mike & Pattie Lancaster had the winning ticket #250 for one of the drawings,
their prize $25.00 GC @ Wal-Mart.

The meeting scheduled for 1 PM Saturday started a little late 1:33 PM, as a couple of the men “Drug our Chapter President “ with them
for some peanut seeds, but wouldn’t you know, the place was closed on Saturday.  All three were ribbed quite a bit for being late.  Ha!
Ha!

During the chapter meeting Mike & Patti Lancaster and “Our ASD’s Joe & Debbie Weston were nominated for membership into The
Chapter, the motion was seconded then pass with a unanimous vote.  Winner of the 50/50 drawing was Chet Florence of $36.50,
congratulations Chet!
