September 18, 2010 at Blueberry Hill RV Resort at Bushnell, Fl. Bill Catron opened the meeting with a prayer,
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Roll Call indicated we had 17 rigs present, which included 2 visiting rigs, Greg & Marianne Brown and Jim &
Rosalie Morance. Charlie introduced our visitors.
Minutes of Last Meeting (Secretary): Judy Stewart asked if there were any additions or corrections to the May
minutes. No changes were forthcoming. Jim Coffman made a motion that we accept the minutes as written and Bill
Catron seconded the motion. All future minutes, including September’s minutes, will be forwarded to Paul Beck so
he can include them in the September Newsletter.
Treasurer’s Report: Bob Tobin reported that the balance as of the end of May was $2,426.58 with deposits of
$49.25 less expenditures of $33 for an ending balance of $2,467.58, which includes the escrow fund. Chuck
Blanchet made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report and was seconded by Bill Catron.
Committee Reports: Charlie asked for committee reports:
Joe & Debbie Weston, ASD’s, Joe reported that the Fall Samboree at Wekiva Falls RV Resort in Sorrento, FL. is
sold out, but Bob Ward got an additional 25 and they were taken, only 1 on wait list at this time. If anyone wants to
attend and hasn’t yet sent in their Registration Form, Bob will be here later today and you can get a Registration
Form to him to get on the wait list. You stand a very good chance to go as there are usually several cancellations
the closer the Samboree gets. The Spring Samboree will be in Okeechobee the 1st week of May next year as Easter
falls in late April and we cannot get into Okeechobee until after Easter. Joe also reminded us that Lake Eola Sams
will be providing the entertainment for the Spring Samboree.
Bob Stewart, Wagon Master, Bob explained some of the problems he has been encountering when trying to make
reservations for next year’s camp outs. After a lengthy discussion, everyone agreed that there should be 3 hosts for
each campout beginning in January, 2011. After the meeting, Judy will have a 2011 schedule available for members
to sign up to host the month of their choice, December is already taken. Bill Catron said that he had spoken with
Earl Howe and he had requested that everyone contact Kay Williams to find out what they can bring for the October
camp out, they’re having beef and pork.
Don Harper, Web Master, no report, Don is home recuperating from a heart attack and doing very well.
Paul Beck, Newsletter Editor, Paul requested names and email addresses for anyone not receiving the Newsletter,
he will mail it to anyone who does not have a computer. He will be including the minutes in the September
Newsletter, as well as the directions to Ocala Sun RV Resort.

Correspondence: Bob Tobin read letter from Canine Companions thanking us for our donation.
Old Business: There was a discussion on our charity raffle at the Samboree and we were reminded that we must
note “50/50 advertising if we were going to donate only 50 % to charity. Morris Durrance asked that if anyone had
aluminum tabs to donate to Ronald Mc Donald House, please get them to him as soon as possible as soon as
possible as they are going to deliver them sometime next week. Ralph reminded everyone to bring their donation of
canned goods and dog food to his rig so he can deliver them to the AWC Food Bank and the Lake County Humane
Society.
New Business: Charlie advised that as it is time for election of officers for next year, he had appointed a Nominating
Committee: Jim Coffman, Linda Woodward and Chuck Blanchet. He also appointed an Audit Committee (Joan
Cotter, Pattie Lancaster & Mildred Beck will help) to audit the treasurer’s books before the induction of new officers
in December. Our election of officers for 2011 will be in November and they will be sworn in at the December camp
out. Annual dues of $15 must be paid in October. Simone (Blueberry Hill) wants everyone to meet outside after our
meeting for a picture of our Chapter that will be placed on their Rally wall. Mildred Beck had a couple of things to
discuss with the members. The first was that there is a company that comes to rallies that would check the weight of
our rigs and if our Chapter was interested in having them come to one of our rallies, she’d be happy to try to contact
them. The second, Mildred said that she knows that this is not a pleasant subject to talk about, but most of our
members are probably thinking or should be thinking about their final plans. She related that their daughter was now
selling cremation packages and she does cremation presentations. If anyone is interested, their daughter would be
happy to come speak to us or come to your home.
Bill Catron said that he and Chris had a special presentation for Morris Durrance. He presented a “yellow jacket”
cake to Morris in memory of the yellow jacket bites he experienced a couple of days ago.
