Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Withlacoochee Bluegrass Festival Grounds, Dunnellon, Florida.
Chaplain Bill Catron opened the meeting with a prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Roll Call indicated we had 13 rigs, which included 2 visiting rigs, Mike & Patti Lancaster and Scottie &
Maureen Smithwick.
Charlie Hoelscher introduced our visitors, Mike & Patti Lancaster, Scottie & Maureen Smithwick and our
ASD’s, Joe & Debbie Weston.

Minutes of Last Meeting (Secretary):  Judy Stewart asked if there were any additions or corrections to the
December minutes.  No changes were forthcoming.  Bill Catron made a motion that we accept the minutes
as written and Paul Beck seconded the motion.  February minutes will be distributed to all members for
review prior next month’s meeting.

Treasurer’s Report:  Bob Tobin reported that the balance as of the end of January was $1,946.97 with
deposits of $72.50 less distributions of $965.01 for an ending balance of $1,054.46, which includes the
escrow fund.  A portion ($629.16) of the $965.01 will be recouped when members pay for the new shirts
that the Chapter paid for in advance.  Bill Catron made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and was
seconded by Bob Stewart.

Committee Reports:  Charlie asked each committee head to report:
Bob Stewart, Wagon Master, Bob discussed March’s camp out at Wekiva Falls RV Resort and asked for a
show of hands of those planning to attend, 13 indicated they were attending.  Bob said he will check with
those not attending the Samboree if they plan to attend next month’s campout and then confirm the
number of sites needed with Heidi at Wekiva.  Bob also spoke about various other camping locations
being looked at for 2011.  Bill Catron mentioned Grand Isle RV Park on CR #368; Joe Weston suggested
New Smyrna Beach RV Resort and Lazy Days was mentioned as possible future campgrounds for 2011.
Everyone was reminded that each member planning to attend must make reservations at least 2 weeks
prior to camp out.  Also when we camp at Ocala Sun, the hosts were reminded that they must send a
schedule to them approximately one month prior to the campout so they can incorporate it into their
monthly schedule.
Don Harper, Web Master, Don had nothing to report.
Paul Beck, Newsletter Editor, Paul said that if anyone had anything to add to the newsletter or a recipe to
contact him as soon as possible.
Jenova Hoelscher, Historian, Jenova reported that she still hadn’t gotten a new camera.  She also
said that the Book is current and was here if everyone wanted to see it.
Chris Catron, Sunshine Lady, Chris said that no cards had been sent this past month, but she has one to
send to Phylis Hager for the death of her brother-in-law and if anyone hasn’t signed it yet, please see her.
If anyone knows of anyone that needs a card sent to them, please let her know.

Correspondence:
Salvation Army sent a Thank You letter for our $300 donation.
Received Nomination Forms for State Director and Treasurer, mailed Chapter vote for Linda Voyton as no
opposition.  No one interested in running for State Director.
Earl Howe forwarded information on Bonifay RV Park, given to Wagon Master.

Old Business:  Charlie asked Morris Durrance to update everyone on status of shirt order. He reported
that Fran Blanchet has ordered shirts, has received the check to pay for shirts when she picks them up
and should have them at the March camp out, so have your money ready.  Charlie asked Nancy Harper to
report on wagon raffle.  She advised that we sold $521 worth of raffle tickets to benefit Dogs for the Deaf,
with a discussion on how much we were going to donate.  Joe Weston told us that if our signs indicated
that the raffle was for the benefit of a particular charity; all net proceeds must go to that charity.   Nancy
will get together with Charlie after the meeting to determine the net amount the Chapter will be donating
to Dogs for the Deaf at tonight’s Evening Entertainment when the Chapters’ winning raffle tickets are
drawn.  Bob Stewart reminded everyone that he still had several old style shirts to sell and also had one
hat left; John Williams volunteered to purchase it.

New Business:  Bill Catron made a motion that we bring Mike & Pattie Lancaster into our Chapter as new
members. Chris Catron seconded the motion.  The vote was unanimous.  Chris Catron then made a motion
to bring Joe & Debbie Weston (our ASD’s) into our Chapter as new members since they have met the
requirements for membership, Lucy Florence seconded the motion.  The vote was again unanimous.
Everyone welcomed them to the Chapter.  Mildred Beck said the Chapter has a communication problem;
we need to decide how to let other Chapter members know what is going on, particularly at the Samboree’
s, i.e., card games, dominos, etc.   She suggested that anyone wishing to schedule a particular activity in
their motor home might put a sign in their front window indicating the activity and time, then whoever is
interested may check it out.  Everyone thought that was a great idea.  Charlie then congratulated Paul
Beck on winning First Place in the Pinochle Tournament and Bob Stewart for taking Second Place in the
Wizzard Tournament.  Also, everyone congratulated Joe & Debbie Weston’s team for winning First Place
in the Bean Bag Baseball Games.  It seems our Chapter was well represented by our members at this
Samboree.  Charlie advised everyone that John & Kay Williams have a new wagon they would like to
donate to the Chapter to be used for a future raffle, everyone thanked the Williams’.  Ralph Reeves
suggested that the Chapter make wooden name signs with a picture of the member’s RV and the member’
s name to be hung from a frame at campouts to identify those members who were present.  Ralph said he
would make the frame to hang the signs on.  He said Don Harper had volunteered to cut out and paint the
signs and after further discussion it was decided that the women would then have a “craft” time to finish
the signs.  Ralph Reeves made a motion to make the signs and Paul Beck seconded the motion.  There
was a discussion on our Chapter volunteering at the Samboree’s, Charlie and Jenova will look into it.  Bill
Catron made a motion that the Chapter volunteer, and was seconded by Jane Reeves.

Birthdays/Anniversaries:  We wished Happy Birthday to Earl Howe and Bill Catron.  There were no
Anniversaries this month.

Mike Lancaster made a motion to adjourn the meeting and John Williams seconded it.  The meeting
was adjourned at 2:37 P.M.

50/50 Raffle:  Sold $73 worth of tickets: $36.50 to Chapter Treasury and Chet Florence won $36.50.

Respectfully submitted,

Judy Stewart
